Okay, this songs a lot like the remix of Stop My Heart I posted in September, but I’ve been holding on to it since them. This is actually the version of the remixes that I like the best, enjoy.

This is a special treat. After posting chiptune remixes up for the last two months, I figured I’d do something different. This month it’s a live recording of S.O.S. Natsu Yasumi which is the second song on Devoured By Japanese Schoolgirls.

Stop My Heart (special mix)

Over the course of the next year or longer, I will release a free remix of my music every month. This is a great way to “collect” a free Yuki Yuki Yasumi album over a long period of time. I said I would release my first remix in August, and it’s all ready September 4th. I will be hosting all my free mp3s on the official Yuki Yuki Yasumi site, but right now, due to programming/design issues I’ll post the latest remix here, and archive it to the Yuki site later, when I figure out just exactly what I am doing.

Anyway about the song: “Stop My Heart” is my most remixed song. Every time I get a new toy (keyboard, software pack, instrument, etc), one of the first ways I test it is to remix this little song. Since I have dozens of these remixes I will try to space them out over a period of time.

So what is special about this remix?: I got inspired to make it after someone “Liked” a quote (an excerpt of lyrics from the song) I posted on Facebook. This remix was specially made for that one person, who clicked “like.” 

Overall, it’s not my favorite mix of the song, but it does feature some nifty elements unique to other versions of the song such as a dance driven double-bass drum rhythm. I would suggest that fans of the Eurobeat genre of music give this song a listen. The original version of the song can be heard on Myspace, I-like, and the album can be purchased from a number of retailers, including cdbaby.
